Burlington Rangers claim BSL Mens Open Age Div 1 Final.

The Rangers claimed the BSL's Mens Open Age Div 1 Playoff Finals against Bohemians. After two previous losses to Bohemians, it looked to be more of the same with the Bohemians going up 1-0 in the first minutes on a penalty shot after a handball in the box. Rangers shook off the early nerves to and started to play well and organized for the rest of the half. Their efforts were rewarded with two Brad Batty goals to go into the second half up 2-1. Bohemians having led the table all season long showed their strength in the closing 15 minutes and poured on the pressure against the Rangers, equalizing with a late corner. The full time score was 2-2. In the penalty shoot out, Bohemians elected to shoot first, Backup Keeper Paul Scott was up to the challenge.

BURLINGTON RANGERS JERSEYS WITH SPONSOR LOGOS FOR 2019

It is with a tremendous amount of sadness that we announce the passing of Bruce Ferguson. Bruce passed suddenly, at his home, in Oakville, on December 21, 2015, age 47 years. Bruce was a strong competitor, loyal teammate and one of the longest serving Rangers. Bruce anchored the Rangers defense for many years and was always there for the team. Bruce's desire and competitiveness to win was only dwarfed by his dedication to the team and to his family. His loss is felt by all of his Burlington Rangers family and the entire BSL. We'll try to do you proud and "get back and defend!" as best we can without you big guy.

Thanks for all the good times, we will leave a coke out for you.

Sincerely

Your Burlington Rangers Family.

Bruce Malcolm Gault Ferguson

Mens Open Age Division 1 Playoff Champions!  Rangers 1 - FC Legends United 0

The Rangers claimed victory in the BSL Mens Open Age Division 1 Playoffs with a hard fought victory over FC Legends United. A back and forth contest with chances at both ends, showcased the Rangers style from throughout the season, creative attacking, determined defending and excellent goalkeeping.

The Rangers earned the victory thanks to an unlikely set-piece goal, from Brad Batty, who expertly placed a spot kick over and around the wall of defenders and into the right side of the net past a helpless FC Legends United keeper.

Playing his final game for the Rangers was Peter Holland who after many years behind the team is stepping out as a champion one last time, Congrats Peter.
